Only two minutes away from the beach and the Pier, the Brighton Language College in Brighton is located opposite the beautiful Royal Pavilion. This central location means you can reach the city’s greatest attractions in just a few minutes after your English classes!
In the comfortable facilities of the school, you will study English together with people of your generation who share your interest in the English language and culture. You will then be able to relax and socialize at your leisure on the school terrace or in the sunny garden. The school also includes a computer room and offers free Wi-Fi access.

The Brighton Language College offers an exclusive course over two weeks to people of 50 and over wishing to improve their overall English ability in a relaxing and stimulating environment. Combined with an interesting activities’ programme that will allow you to discover the cultural treasures of the Brighton area, the morning English classes aim to develop your communication skills and focus on topics related to British culture. Under the guidance of attentive and motivated teachers, you will gain confidence when speaking and make progress at your own pace in a group corresponding to your level with a maximum of 8 students.
« English + Chocolate » course
To add a sweet touch to your trip, enrol in the exclusive “English + chocolate” course offered by our partner school. Through practical workshops given by industry professionals, you will discover the fascinating world of chocolate- and confectionary-crafting!
This programme is divided into two parts:
- During the first week of your stay, you will attend English classes with the other participants in the CLUB 50+ programme in the morning and will then join the other students enrolled in the « English + Chocolate » course for appetizing afternoon activities, including chocolate craft workshops, chocolate testing sessions with “Montezuma's Chocolates”, chocolate decoration workshop with the expert confectioners of “Cloud 9” Brighton… a real delight for your taste buds!
- During the second week, you will participate in the regular CLUB 50+ activities’ programme with your fellow classmates.
The “English + chocolate” course is open to CLUB 50+ participants, subject to availability.

If you wish to enrich your language course in Brighton with an authentic experience in full immersion, we recommend you to choose host family accommodation. Carefully selected by the school according to your personal requests, your host family will welcome you warmly and accommodate you in a comfortable single room. You will be provided with breakfast and dinner during the week and receive full board at weekends. If you choose the « Premium » option, you will also have the use of a private bathroom. For people travelling together, it is possible to book a double room.
Numerous possibilities of accommodation in hotels of various categories or in guest houses are also available on request. Contact us for further information.

- Activities/leisure programme

During the week, your afternoons will be dedicated to cultural discovery. Throughout your stay, the varied activities and excursions offered by the school will allow you to discover Brighton and its Royal Pavilion, as well as the cultural attractions of the neighbouring areas, such as the majestic Arundel Castle, Chichester’s cathedral, or else Lewes. On Saturdays, a full-day excursion will take you to London where you will take a boat trip on the Thames. And to get a taste of British culture, you will also visit the little coastal village of Rottingdean, just outside Brighton, to have the best Cream Tea you’ve ever tasted!
