The ELC school in Boston is located in the Back Bay district, close to the Charles River and Boston Public Garden, a large park in the heart of the city centre. The course centre has bright and spacious classrooms, several common areas and a large student lounge in order that you may relax during breaks and meet the other students there. A language lab with computers and free Internet access are also available. Just beside the school, you will also find bookshops and several cafés where you can meet up with friends and other participants in the programme after the English classes.

Courses

The English classes, 4 per day, will be given to you from Monday to Friday during the two weeks of your stay. During the morning, you will take standard English classes with the other ELC students, in groups of the same language level. The quality teaching provided by the teachers and the friendly atmosphere are a perfect blend for progressing in English and having a pleasant stay in Boston!

Accommodation

During your stay in Boston, you can live with a host family, carefully selected by our partner school, according to your wishes and priorities. This accommodation option will allow you to discover fully the American way of life and to improve your language level with your hosts. You will stay in a single room with half board provided, and if you are two people travelling together, it is possible to reserve a double room.

Possibilities of accommodation in a shared apartment or a private studio are also available on request.

Activities/leisure programme

In the afternoons, you will join all of the participants of the "Club 50" programme. Amongst people of the same generation, you will go to explore the city through activities organised by our partner school, ELC Boston. Especially created for mature participants, this leisure programme is essentially targeted at the places of cultural and historical interest of the city of Boston. You will be able to visit museums, monuments, attend theatrical performances, participate in beer tasting in a brewery of the region...and will make progress in English without even realising it!
