The EIC language school proposes a course of 2 or 3 weeks for people of 50 years and over. Stimulating and very enjoyable, this programme is ideal for learning English and increasing self-confidence in using informal language. You will have 3 English lessons each morning from Monday to Friday, in a class adapted to your level. The programme is focussed on listening comprehension, oral expression and the acquisition of both formal and informal vocabulary. In a motivating and welcoming atmosphere, you will meet new people of your generation with whom you will discover Chester and its surroundings.

The accommodation most appreciated by people of 50 years and more is accommodation with a host family. Staying in a single room (or double for couples), with half board provided, you will share daily life with your hosts. This type of accommodation is without any doubt the best way to immerse yourself in the English culture, to get on well with the locals and to practise the language outside of class. If you wish to have superior comfort, "Executive" option host families are also available.

The devoted person in charge of the activities of our partner school organises and supervises all of the visits and excursions during your language study stay. Each week, you will participate in 3 activities which will permit you to visit the city of Chester and its main attractions. You will also be able to go on excursions in the surrounding regions of North Wales, the Lake District, the Peak District or even famous cities such as Liverpool or Manchester. On Wednesday evening, an optional outing is also organised at a small extra cost. The EIC language school will also give you some ideas for your free time.
