The St Brelade’s language school is located about 10 minutes by car away from St Helier and 200 meters away from the picturesque harbour of the little town of St Aubin. It has 10 comfortable classrooms in a typical building in the island, magnificently refurbished. A living room to relax and two study rooms with internet access are definitely the places where you will meet up with the other students who have come to learn or improve their English. Your teachers are dedicated and motivated; they have a lot of experience in teaching English to foreign students. Besides, they enrich their lessons with references to geography, history and current events about Jersey.

With four English lessons per day, your mornings will be busy. The courses are given by experienced teachers who encourage communication and interaction. No doubt you will feel comfortable in this relaxed atmosphere, with people of your own generation. In small groups, you will make progress at your own pace and will soon realise that day after day, you are gaining confidence.

If you choose to stay with a host family, you will get a complete insight into the daily life on this charming island. In your hosts’ house, you will occupy a single room and share the common rooms with the other members of the family. You will receive full-board accommodation (breakfast, dinner, you will be provided with a packed lunch to take away to school). The school bus will pick you up in the morning and take you back home in the evening.

- Activities/leisure programme

The social activities programme that the school offers every week includes long walks on the coast and in Jersey’s countryside. You will visit important historical sites such as Mont Orgueil, the medieval castle that overlooks Gorey Bay or the underground military hospital. Together with the other participants of your age and who have the same interests, you will spend nice moments in a pub or a restaurant. At the weekend, you will make your own plans to discover the surrounding areas or go on a full-day excursion to the famous Mont St Michel in France.
