Language school Accademia italiana - Salerno, Italy
Since 1997, the Accademia Italiana school has been providing quality teaching which combines the learning of Italian and cultural discovery. The langauge school is situated in a quiet street in the heart of the historical centre of Salerno. It occupies an ancient building, Palazzo Angrisani, which has been superbly renovated and which is facing the sea, offering an idyllic and relaxing setting which favours the learning of the Italian language. The school includes 14 classrooms, a multimedia room containing computers, a projection room with a wide screen television, and a library/video library. The school makes free Internet access available to students. Within immediate proximity of the Accademia Italiana, you will be able to relax with an Italian coffee, and chat with the other participants whilst making the most of the Mediterranean atmosphere.

This two-week programme, especially designed for people of 50 years and over, gives you the opportunity ot combine the learning of Italian with the discovery of the culture and of the local gastronomy. In the morning, you will have four hours of lessons in classes of a maximum of 10 people. The afternoons will be dedicated to the discovery of Salerno and of the surroundings. The classes are given by teachers with a university degree and in an intimate atmosphere which favours communication.

Host family
Accommodation in one of the host families selected by the Accademia Italiana language schol will allow you to practise your Italian in full immersion in the culture and the lifestyle of the Italians. You will stay in a single or double room, if you are two people travelling together, and only a few minutes' walk from the course centre. According to your choice, you will be able to benefit from breakfast or half board.
Furnished apartments
If you wish to have more independence, you will also be able to stay in furnished apartments. They are situated in the heart of the city and only a few minutes' walk from the school. You wil stay in a single or double room if you are two people travelling together. A common kitchen is available for the use of the residents.
The Accademia Italiana also proposes to you to stay in hotels of various standards or in a private villa.

Each day, our partner school organises various cultural activities and excursions in order that you may take full advantage of your stay in Italy. Pottery or cookery classes, seminars and cultural lessons, visits of mozzarella, olive oil, wine and limoncello manufacturers, following by tastings, or the visit of the city and excursions...A wide range of activities especially designed for the Club 50 participants which wish to learn Italian whilst discovering the culture of one of the most fascinating regions of Italy.
