Our partner school, Torre di Babele, is located in the historical centre of Rome, in an elegant district, in art nouveau style, shaded and bordered by public gardens. Only a stone's throw away from the renowned Sapienza University, the course centre occupies deux spacious floors of a magnificent "Liberty" villa, surrounded by a large garden, It has several bright and air-conditioned classrooms. a computer room and a relaxation area where you can easily meet and get to know the other participants. The school is not only known for tis quality teaching, but also for its pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, which puts the new participants at ease as soon as they arrive in Rome. In addition, its central location in a quiet district offers an ideal setting for learning Italian and exploring the city.

Proposed twice a year, in May and October, the programme lasts 2 weeks. It is especially designed for people from 50 years upwards who wish to learn Italian, whilst enjoying a varied and interesting cultural programme. 4 Italian lessons are given to you each morning, from Monday to Friday, with the other students of the school, at your corresponding language level. The groups are small and international, in this way giving you the opportunity to meet people from the four corners of the planet.

During your language study stay, the Torre di Babele language school proposes to you to live in Roman-style, with local hosts. This accommodation option represents an ideal opportunity to improve your knowledge in Italian, whilst discovering the lifestyle of the natives, since you will be sharing an apartment with one or several inhabitants of the Eternal City. The hosts, who are rarely families but more often women living by themselves, are all selected with care by our partner school according to their interest and will be happy to help you to get to know Rome and its culture better. You will stay in a single room. This accommodation type doesn't include meals.

Our partner school, Torre di Babele, organises a special leisure programme for the participants in the "Club 50" programme. It includes 4 guided visits in Rome or in the surroundings and 2 evening activities per week. During the weekend, a full-day excursion is also proposed. This leisure programme is exclusively reserved for the participants of 50 years or more, allowing you, in this way, to spend time with people with similar interests to yours and to get to know them better. The participation in these cultural afternoons are also an excellent way to improve your language level whilst discovering the attractions of the marvellous city of Rome.
