Ireland, the green legend

Faced with the English giant, the Irish have invented expressive writers, including James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, a school of revolutionary authors and poets. The country is tasted through its people, who love to enjoy themselves and are in love with words and songs, who spend night on end recounting mystical fables. In its towns and cities which have the taste of celtic stories, but also European cultural centres, the best way to gain a place is to chat on the pavement with the natives who only ask that. And then, sometimes, responding to festivities, to the troubadours and to the rockers, in absolute silence. This is the Irish genius. Its steep cliffs, the fluorescent green of its plains, the archeological finds which push through to an infinite sky. The advantage of this country is that you are not confined to choosing between beauty and life, a racket and peace and quiet here. Perhaps one of Europe's best-kept secrets, Ireland harmonises so much its exhilerating nature of its scenery and the authentic nature of its inhabitants.
